On Thursday night, December 14-15, a powerful storm system hit the Puget Sound area. Wind gusts, combined with precedent rainfall, were the primary cause of falling trees which damaged homes and caused power outages east of the Cascades. To this day, December 20, more than 100,000 Washington state residents are without power and many of them will not get their power back anytime soon.
The morning after the storm I went around the neighborhood, documenting the heaviest damage.
